  • Q. How can I place an order?

    Answer

    There are three ways to place an order.

    1. Order On-Line: We have developed an On-Line Store so you can order your racing products at your convenience 24/7. Our On-Line Store is safe, secure and simple to use. You can be confident that within minutes of placing your Internet order, we will begin processing, packing and have it shipped out the same business day.
    2. Order by Phone: We have a toll free order line and a highly experience sales staff with countless years of racing experience to help you.  Give them a call during our regular business hours at 1-800-722-4641.
    3. Dealer Network: We have a large number of Dealers and Chassis builders that carry our products. Feel free to call us at 1-800-722-4641 for a dealer in your area.

  • Q. What exactly is Same Day Shipping?

    Answer

    All orders are shipped the same BUSINESS DAY that they are received!  If an order is received after the close of our business hours, it will be shipped the next business day. It’s as simple as that!

  • Q. How do I pay for my order?

    Answer

    Most of our products can be shipped UPS, C.O.D., or pre-paid by credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover or American Express).

     UPS will not accept cash for C.O.D shipments.

    We can give you a guaranteed C.O.D. total while you are on the phone so you can get a certified check or money order before your order arrives. We will accept a company check only if credit is approved before the order is placed. All Certified Checks and Money Orders must be made out to Performance Bodies for the exact invoice total.

    Complete body orders and a few large items (roofs and hoods) must ship by truck (Estes, CCX, etc.) Freight costs range from $75 - $130. Please call for a guaranteed freight quote.

     All truck orders must be pre-paid by credit card or by mailing a check or money order in advance.

  • Q. How can I get a picture of my car in the Performance Bodies catalog?

    Answer

    We are all looking for picture of race cars to showcase in our catalog and other marketing materials. If you'd like us to submit your car for consideration, please email a high-quality digital image to juliek@performancebodies.com.

    Photo Submission Requirements
    With all the new digital cameras available to do the work for you, basically all you have to do is point and shoot...it's as simple as that. It's not necessary to print your picture as the digital image works the BEST!
    - 300 DPI preferred
    - 2048 x 1704 pixels minimum
    - JPEG or TIFF files



    All photos submitted will become the property of Performance Bodies and can be used in any marketing materials.

  • Q. When will my order ship?

    Answer

    Thanks to a dedicated staff of professionals at Performance Bodies, all orders are shipped the same day we receive them! There is no cut off time like many other companies have who claim to have Same Day Shipping. 

  • Q. How much will it cost to ship my order?

    Answer

    The shipping cost will depend on the size of your order (number of boxes, weight, method). When placing an Internet order, you will be prompted to select a shipping method, which includes the cost.

    When placing an order by phone, our experts will give you the shipping options and the exact cost so you can determine the best and most affordable method of shipping your valuable products.

  • Q. Do you ship C.O.D.?

    Yes we can ship C.O.D. on orders placed by phone ONLY. This is not an option for Internet orders. Any C.O.D. order can be shipped with UPS.No deposit is required and UPS charges only $12.90 for a C.O.D. fee. UPS no longer accepts cash for C.O.D. shipments; however, we can give you a guaranteed C.O.D. total while you’re are on the phone so you can get a certified check or money order before your order arrives. Freight shipments cannot be sent C.O.D.  They can only be prepaid with a credit card or certified check.

     

  • Q. How will my order be shipped?

    Our shipping experts at Performance Bodies spend countless hours negotiating the best shipping methods and costs available for our customers, whether it UPS, SpeeDee, or Truck Lines. We NEVER profit from any shipping costs. You will always be given shipping options to select from. It doesn’t matter if it’s an Internet or phone in order.

    UPS is a global company with one of the most recognized and admired brands in the world. They have become the world’s largest package delivery company and leading global provider of specialized transportation and logistics services, which is why they are our standard shipping provider.

    Spee Dee is a growing regional delivery service available primarily in the Upper Midwest. Spee Dee delivery can save you anywhere between 29% and 52% compared to other national carriers. They try to deliver the next day but it is NOT guaranteed and may take up to three days in certain more remote coverage areas. Their coverage area includes most areas in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois.  You will be notified if you’re in a Spee Dee delivery area. 

    Oversize product, such as bodies, hoods, and roofs will need to ship via truck line. We have many providers available including Estes, CCX, etc.  All truck orders must be pre-paid by credit card or by mailing a check or money order in advance. Freight deliver is NOT available on Internet orders. Please call our experienced sales staff at 1-800-722-4641 for a guaranteed freight quote.

  • Q. How do I redeem a Performance Bodies Gift Card?

    Answer

    There are two ways to redeem a Performance Bodies’ Gift Card:

    Phone Order: Simply give your Sales Specialist the 8-digit code number from the back of the Gift Card. They will be able to tell you the usable dollar amount available for redemption.

    Internet Order: Step 3 of the Checkout process includes payment information. Gift Card Redemption is the first option for payment. Enter your 8-digit code number from the back of the Gift Card and then click “Validate Gift Card Number” to find out your usable dollar amount available for redemption.

    If your order totals LESS than the amount of your Gift Card, you will have the remaining balance to use for future purchases. If you order totals MORE than the amount available on your card, you will need to add your credit card information for the remaining balance. For example, if your purchase totals $150.00 and you have a $100.00 gift card, $50.00 will need to be charged to your credit card.

  • Q. Why is my Credit Card being declined when ordering from the On-Line Store?

    Answer

    There may be several reasons for the decline but the MOST common reason is that your billing address does NOT match the address on the credit card. Please make sure to enter the EXACT name and address used from the credit card in the billing information fields. Review all the information to make sure it has been entered correctly. 

    One of the great things about our web site is that you have the option to save multiple billing addresses in our system, in case you utilize different credit cards on occasion. You can then use the drop down menu to select the correct information instead of having to manually enter it each time.

    Each time your credit card is ‘declined’ YOUR bank TEMPORARILY holds the funds for the amount of the purchase. Most banks have a policy to hold the funds anywhere from 24 hours to 7 days.  This can be annoying for the consumer but the banks do this as a security measure to prevent credit card theft and scams.

  • Q. What is Spee Dee Delivery and is it available in my area?

    Answer

  • Q. Is it less expense to ship to a commercial address?

    Answer

    YES.

    It can be considerably less expense to ship UPS to a commercial address compared to a residential address. Each box shipped can be a $3.00 - $5.00 savings for commercial shipments. This savings will multiple based on the number of boxes needed to ship your order.

  • Q. Can I return a part?

    Answer

    YES. You can return an unused or defective part, which the following conditions:

    • All returned items MUST include an RGA number (ReturnGoods Authorization)

    • We WILL NOT accept returns after 30 days

    • We WILL NOT accept returns for special order parts or discontinued items.

    • All returned parts must be included with your return

    • If you need to return a part, please follow these steps:

    1.  Call 1-800-722-4641 to get a “Return Goods Authorization" number (RGA)

    2.  Write the RGA# on a copy of the original invoice and put inside the box.

    3.  Repack the parts carefully in the original container to avoid damage.

    4.  Ship freight paid to Performance Bodies

  • Q. How can I update my On-Line customer information?

    Answer

    By creating an account with our On-Line Store you will be able to move through the checkout process faster, store multiple billing and shipping addresses, change your method of billing, view and track your orders, create a Wish List of your favorite items, and more. Keeping this information accurate will allow us to automatically send you order notifications and tracking numbers for all your orders.

    To edit your billing or shipping address, click “Edit Address Book”

    To add a new billing or shipping address, click “Add New”

    NOTE: When placing an order your BILLING address MUST match the address on the credit card. If it does not match, your credit card will be declined.
